Some people are more in touch with their surroundings.  They are affected more by the energy around themselves.  It's "understanding" - that makes the difference in the role that we play in this world.  I've always expressed my thoughts and my emotions into melodies.  This is what I've developed by learning dysfunctional communication skills, and turning those negative influences in my life into positive coping mechanisms.  That's what music does for me.

Life isn't always going to be what you think it might be.  For better or worse, things are always going to change.  Always.  So, if you're ever out there thinking that it's too much, it will never end, or you can't take it anymore...just remember, it changes.  I prefer to be on the positive side of that, but sometimes you just need to relate.  And sometimes, you just turn up the bass.

My motivation stems from a natural ability to create and educate.  My lyrics allude to life lessons with the intention to provide a voice of reason to listeners who would otherwise have none.  Sometimes, I feel burdened with the seemingly impossible task of increasing overall consciousness, so I try to maintain the sentiment: "It's not where you are from, It's where you are at."  I believe my music possesses unequivocal power and remains a universal language that speaks to what cannot be articulated.

I started off wondering where I lay, was it sports, was it God?  Then I got the drums, and ever since, I’ve realized that my heart holds a passion for the beat.  Whenever I would stop playing drums are the times I consider my all-time lows in life.  Sometimes I wish I could be locked in a cage until it’s time to play music.

WHEN I DIE AND MY ATOMS BECOME FREE,

I HOPE THEY WANDER THE UNIVERSE

I NEVER GOT TO SEE.
